Ive made my own bead breaker (some crackin ideas about if you Google it) and Im making my own tyre balancer. Ordered some bearings which arrived this morning for the job Smiley
As previously mentioned Ive ordered a compressor (Amazon) and the tyres (ebay) are also on their way.
If anyone can help source the following I'd really appreciate it:

Wheel balancing weights.
Valve stem tool.
Valves.

Not sure whether to go for rubber valves (and change em every tyre change) or ally ones that (I believe) are more or less a one time fitment.

Just finished my homemade wheel balancer
Bought some "ABEC7" bearings used for inline skates. 8 in a pack for less than 6 quid!!!
Theryre very high quality and recommended by guys who have done this sort of thing before.
Ive tried the balancer out and after finding the natural heavy spot I attached a 5gr weight to see if it reacted (the minimum you need to got down to really.
She works a treat
Im gonna try some lesser weights too just to see how sensitive it is.

Im using the axle as a spindle. I find it doesnt spin within the wheel at all as the bearings Ive used for the balancer are so free running.
One of the tips I picked up from 'Tinterweb is to clean all the grease out of the balancers bearings with wd40. Less drag, makes it very sensitive.

Stand by for pics of me Bead Breaker...
