Does a tax disc have to go on the left side only?  Only ask this cos havn't put a disc on in 15 years as I've had plenty stolen off the bike ( when living in London) ..just keep it in my wallet now |

It should be displayed in a prominent position where it can be read from the kerb. You can be done for failing to display a tax disc if you keep it in your wallet. They can fine you for it if they feel like it. It just gives them a reason to stop you, and if they can't see a tax disc they may well look harder for other faults, small number plate, loud pipe etc...
For the OP, the bike looks great - liking the white look.
