Am taking my 10r, the way i look at it  is if you go on spirited rides on the road you have just as much or more of a chance of coming off. The only way your coming off on the track is if you push to hard and yes it is tempting to keep going faster. You should go for it mate its bags of fun!. PM me if you fancy going and we can meet up.

Yeah, but if I drop it on the road I pick myself up and call the insurance co and wait for a big cheque.  Not so on a track day - unless there's any work-arounds (yes, removed number plate on track day at Cadwell!  headbang)

People have told me to remove number plate 'cos insurance companies sometimes send people to watch and note down reg numbers 'just in case'.

The van thing the thing to do I guess.  Last time i went someone from had a van for their track bikes and had room for one more!  I guess the morale is to know someone with van space at the trackday.

I must admit I've never been on a racetrack in my life (apart from Donington during the annual visit to the Download gig lol). I'm reasonably close to Knockhill and thought I might give it a go. Sounds like a bit of a hoot. What does it cost, do you have to book or just turn up. I assume you need a full set of leathers and does it really invalidate your insurance? icon_scratch
Any advice welcome.

The track days are on all the time if you go on to the Knockhill website you will get all the info you need , You need to book and yep it does invalidate your insurance so don't fall off lol. Good idea to go and watch and see if you still fancy it. If you need any other advice just pm me.  icon_thumright
