depends on what you want from your boot?

gore tex breathability and dryness or ultimate protection???

daytona are fab for comfort and fit
alpine stars give you good protection and dryness too
smx5 wp at 199 are a good buy with good levels of protection.

right i tried on the astars s-mxr gore-tex,tcx comp s gore-tex,sidi vertigo mega gore-tex,and two pairs of daytona gore-tex boots today, the daytona shair gtx/alkon xcr were the comfiest by far!!,the astars were the least comfy!!,the sidi's/tcx are both very nice and comfy plus similer protection...
the tcx's are cheaper than the sidi's, so it's out of the tcx's and the daytona's...has anyone on here got the tcx comp gore-tex boots as i would like too know if they are reliable?as i kow the daytona's are bullit proof...
